1. Who We Are
Nibras ("the App", "we", "us") is an Islamic productivity application published by Tenebra Studio, operated by Amr El-Eraky, Alexandria, Egypt. Contact: privacy@tenebrastudio.com.
2. Summary (plain language)
- We only collect what the App needs to work: your account identity and the data you create (tasks, prayer/worship tracking).
- Your location never leaves your device. It is used on your phone only, to calculate prayer times and local reminders.
- We do not sell your data, we do not show third-party advertising, and we do not use advertising trackers.
- You can delete your account and all associated data at any time.
3. Data We Collect
a) Account data (when you sign in)
When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address to create your account. These are stored by our authentication and database provider, Supabase, and are linked to a unique user ID. You can use core features without signing in; signing in enables cloud sync across devices.
Guest Mode: you can use the App without any account. In Guest Mode no account data is collected at all — everything you create is stored locally on your device only, never synced to our servers, and does not transfer automatically to an account you create later.
b) Content you create
Tasks, lists, task completions, and worship records (prayers, Qur'ān reading, adhkār, habits and streaks) are stored locally on your device and — if you sign in — synced to your private account on Supabase. This data is protected by row-level security so that only you can read or modify it.
c) Location data
With your permission, the App uses your device location to calculate accurate prayer times and to provide optional location-based reminders. Location is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted to or stored on our servers. You can deny or revoke location access in your device settings; prayer times can also be set by choosing a city manually.
d) Notifications
We schedule local notifications on your device (prayer reminders, adhān, task alerts). These are generated on-device and do not require sending your data to us.
e) Data we do NOT collect
We do not collect advertising identifiers, contacts, photos, microphone, browsing history, or analytics that identify you personally.
4. How We Use Data
Solely to: authenticate you, sync your content across your devices, calculate prayer times, and deliver reminders you have enabled. We do not use your data for advertising or profiling.
5. Sharing and Third Parties
We share data only with infrastructure providers strictly necessary to run the App:
- Supabase — authentication and encrypted database storage of your account and content.
- Apple / Google — only when you choose to sign in with them (they provide us your name and email).
We never sell or rent your data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Your content is retained while your account is active. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time by:
- using the in-app "Delete account" option (in Settings), or
- following the steps at tenebrastudio.com/nibras/delete, or
- emailing privacy@tenebrastudio.com with your account email.
We process deletion requests within 30 days. Local data is removed when you uninstall the App.
7. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country) and we do not knowingly collect their data.
8. Security
Data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS). Stored data is protected by per-user row-level security so it is isolated to your account.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your data. Contact privacy@tenebrastudio.com to exercise these rights.
10. Changes
We will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date when this policy changes.
